Though this precarious formation is easily visible from local resorts, it is rather difficult to get to. This hike is a climb of the steep and loose slope up, followed by a descent of the other side to Devil's Bridge.
1 BALANCED ROCK Our objective is already in view from the trailhead
2 First we cross FR 152 and climb the spur ahead. Devil's Bridge is on the other side of it.
